"Omnibus"

Once a man, a wealthy one at that, yet a fine sailor. Never trained in the arts of combat, only heckling and speech craft. Sailing from trading points such as the Horn Of Africa, importing fine coffees and silk. This man lived off wealth and greed. Until one day the man was encountered and boarded by a band of ruffians. A ruthless group of pirates led by a man the crew called, Captain Anton Bellamy.

Bellamy was indeed a fearless pirate, one who struck fear into the hearts of many sailors. Although his name was not renowned to fame just yet he was surely raising his flag to the skies to achieve such a title. Bellamy boarded the mans ship, demanding that if he gave them his wares he would spare the lives of his crew and himself. The man denied, due to his lust for wealth and riches. He put his trust into the few Spanish riflemen he had paid for to provide a safe passage. Bellamy however, disliked the mans decision of refusal, and proceeded to inform his men to kill the crew and take the mans inventory. After roughly an hour of slaughter and bloodshed, Bellamy saved the man for last. Not only to secure the kill for himself, but to first teach him a lesson in chivalry.

Anton Bellamy, approached the man.  The man backed up in fear until his back slammed into the main mast in the center of the small merchant vessel. Regretting his decision, he begged and pleaded for his life. Bellamy beckoned his men as they brought him a length of chain. He then took these chains and fastened them around the mans waist to secure him to the mast. Bellamy then had his men bring to him an antique diving helmet that he had won in a drunken game of Black Jack while in Port Royal. Bellamy put the helmet on the mans head as he struggled in fear, fastening the clasps preserving a mere amount of oxygen. He then stepped back and stared the man in his eyes and said "Keep your wealth, but enjoy it as you're crushed by the weight of the sea, my friend."
Bellamy and his crew then left the man attached to the mast. Boarding the ship Bellamy then ordered his crew to fire upon the small merchant vessel, sending it to the depths below. As the ship slowly started to sink Bellamy continued making eye contact with the man.

As the ship sunk, the weight of the waves crushed the mans bones. He could not breath, but for some reason he only thought about how he would not be basking in coin, how all his wares and loot was slowly sinking to the ocean floor. He would not see a single coin ever again. His lust for wealth and his greed for riches cost him his life but yet grew, it grew into a dark desire of want and obsession. Thus his inner demon, "Omnibus" was born. Sweeping the ocean floors for shipwrecks with sunken treasure and gold. This collector is awakened only in response to the aftermath of peril that strikes unlucky groups of sailors and merchant men traveling the open seas. Ships full and overflowing with sugars, gold, silks and clothes. After a ship goes down along with its riches The Omnibus will be there, salvaging and accumulating pieces of the wreckage to fuel his greed of wealth to add to his obsessive collection.
